CHINA CRECE …¿y… TAIWAN?

AFPA group of Chinese paramilitary police form a hammer and sickle, the symbol of the Chinese Communist Party, at their barracks in Wuhan in China’s Hubei province. The giant symbol is to honor the 17th Communist Party Congress, which is taking place this week in Beijing. This year’s event is widely expected to see President Hu Jintao endorsed as the nation’s leader for another five years.

China’s economy is continuing to expand at a blistering rate — with 11.5 percent growth in the third quarter of 2007. It is now poised to overtake Germany as the world’s third largest economy within weeks and will soon also take Germany’s crown as the world’s biggest exporter.
